Qualifications

Stellantis is seeking an Autonomous Driving Systems Test Engineer who will be responsible for developing electrical system validation test plans and procedures for autonomous driving systems and components. The Engineer will actively contribute in the definition of a test strategy for testing Autonomous Driving systems based on different sources of tests such as Homologation, External Databases of Scenarios or System Requirements. The Engineer should have knowledge about the use of testing tools for Automotive Protocols of communication and traditional systems of testing for simulation of scenarios. The Engineer should have knowledge in ADAS systems and validation activities. The Engineer will deliver test cases based on Autonomous Driving system requirements, review test cases from other stakeholders and communicate with test planners to establish a proper test plan. The Engineer should be able to support the definition of new processes of work for the achievement of goals of the Core Validation team.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Materials/Chemical/ Civil/Aerospace/Computer) from an ABET accredited university

  • 1 year of engineering experience

  • Valid driver’s license – Must be able and willing to drive and test vehicles if needed

  • Must be able to drive a company car

  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university

  • 3 years of experience in automotive engineering / ADAS systems engineering in particular

  • Demonstrated experience in Agile development environment and testing in agile development

  • Certified Less Practitioner or equivalent certifications for Agile development

  • Demonstrated experience in ADAS systems design or validation

  • Demonstrated knowledge of features to be developed in Autonomous Driving/ADAS and applicable regulatory standards (NHTSA, EN-CAP…)

  • Demonstrated knowledge about test platforms such as Software, Hardware and Vehicle in the loop

  • Demonstrated experience in programming languages such as Python and C+

    • Demonstrated experience developing requirements-based test cases for electrical systems
  • Demonstrated experience delivering component, system, and vehicle level validation test cases

  • Demonstrated experience with DFMEA and DVP&R processes

  • Demonstrated Microsoft Office and G Suite (Google) Application Skills

  • DFSS or Reactive training or certification

  • Demonstrated knowledge of CAN and Ethernet buses for Automotive and experience using Vector tools

  • Demonstrated experience with CAN and Ethernet Diagnostic tools

  • Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of project development from vision and scope through all phases of design, development, implementation, deployment, and project exit

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
