BT SME Technical Manager in Budapest, Hungary

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing complex conversations with internal teams and higher management about complex technical and network security issues.

  • Being able to describe, follow up and solve technical issues and claims with vendors and 3rd party support teams.

  • Leading a team of technical professionals, focusing on network device security requirements.

  • Reviewing and maintaining network device configuration templates

  • Defining support services and being responsible for delivering them as per agreement

  • Managing communication with desgin and account teams in order to support the strategy and roadmap for the in scope devices.

  • Supporting inventory / database cleanup.

  • Home office is available in this role depending on further agreement

This role will suit you if you have the following skills:

Soft skills:

  • Working with a cooperative and positive attitude in a group setting to achieve common goals

  • Communicating effectively and efficiently while adapting to your audience and getting the message through as intended

  • Taking the responsibility and taking care of the consequences of making a decision

  • Using all data and information available to analyse and understand a situation, with the aim of supporting decisions

  • Strengths and abilities that help to oversee processes and guide people toward the achievement of goals

  • Being able to work well alone, identify possibilites and solutions.

Professional skills:

  • Several years of experience within BT and with BT products

  • Demonstrate real life expertise CCNP level at least

  • Network security awareness

  • Experience in design, configuration and support of networking products

  • Experience with scripting and automation is an advantage

Language skills:

  • English on a fluent level
