  • Experience engaging with community partners in Boston and Massachusetts, and on health or social services research-related programs, preferred

  • Experience managing subcontracts and vendors, submitting and amending IRB protocols, NVivo software, Trello, Zoom meeting management preferred

    Experience working independently and proactively, as well as working with and supporting a multi-disciplinary team; experience displaying flexibility, multi-tasking, and working in a fast-paced and challenging environment; strong interpersonal skills including building working relationships at across levels, roles, and organizations; excellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detail preferred Additional Information: At the Harvard T.H. Department:Social and Behavioral SciencesPre-Employment Screening:Education, IdentityJob Function:Research Job-Specific Responsibilities: Additional project management responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead meetings and review, monitor and track progress on timelines for a complex series of cross-institute study activities including ensuring completion of grant deliverables, leading subcontracting/vendor communications, managing competing priorities, and working reciprocally with project staff and external partners

  • Oversight of complex qualitative data, evaluation metrics, databases, and project management software

  • Support budgetary decision-making

    Additional research, intervention, and dissemination responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead the organization, summarization, and analysis of qualitative data using NVivo software, excel spreadsheets, and word processing applications, and serving as the primary resource

  • Collaboratively co-develop outreach activities and educational materials with community partners and oversee implementation across multiple community sites

  • Oversee student research staff collecting and analyzing qualitative data and evaluation metrics

  • Participate in protocol and measure development

  • Prepare Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions and modifications

  • Draft research papers, progress reports, and articles for publication as well as present research findings to internal and external audiences.

    The Research Project Manager will also perform other duties as assigned.

PLEASE NOTE: This position has a term end date of one year from date of hire, with potential for extension based on continued project needs and funding availability.

Chan School of Public Health is seeking a Research Project Manager to support research and complex administrative activities of a newly funded one-year project.

The primary function of the Research Project Manager is to coordinate, conduct, and oversee a wide range of project tasks -- including interviews, process evaluation activities, and the development of a COVID-19 vaccine navigator program. The Research Project Manager will be responsible for facilitating communication and collaboration with personnel within and across institutions, most notably with staff at Massachusetts-based community based organizations delivering the vaccine navigation programming.
