The Program Coordinator - Center for Advanced Practice and Perioperative Services assists the ACNO, Advanced Practice Providers, Director of APP Practice and Professional Development and the VP of Perioperative Services in administration and coordination of the Center for Advanced Practice and Perioperative Services in leading operational aspects of the program. Serves as a key resource to the Departments by assuming responsibility for important administrative functions.
Coordinates the support system for all aspects of the departments ensuring that activities are aligned with provider resources and making sure that processes are cost effective. This includes technical and editorial support as well as cooperation with other departmental areas.
Streamlines and ensures consistency in processes and oversees other administrative aspects of day to day operation.
Prepares, composes, and distributes routine correspondence, memoranda, meeting minutes, and other documents for CCU.
The coordinator will manage, organize, and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Center for Advanced Practice and Perioperative services.
Coordinate scheduling and communication.
Coordinate the implementation of the Professional Advancement Model
Expense reports and distribution of awards
Announcements and social media integration
Coordinate and develop PAM database for tracking and reporting purposes
Coordinate specific value-focused improvement initiatives and administrative support for surgical operations, perioperative capacity flow, quality clinical care needs and growth projections.
Manage Center for Advanced Practice sharepoint site and social media integration with Lurie Marketing staff
Provides support with leadership responsibilities for national/international organizations and meeting facilitation.
Coordinates aspects of the provider recruitment process, including coordination of appointment and credentialing processes.
Coordinate professional development and continuing education needs of providers.
Assumes other administrative responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time by APP and Perioperative leadership.
This position uses critical thinking skills to address opportunities for programmatic development and improvement while promoting engagement of stakeholders across multiple disciplines and departments.
Bachelors’ degree in healthcare administration, organizational development, industrial engineering or related field required.
Experience in program planning, development, implementation and evaluation, and project management is required
Ability to collaborate and interact effectively at all levels with a variety of organizational entities and personnel across disciplines, clinical departments, inpatient and outpatient settings
Proven ability in managing multiple programs and projects with the ability to use data to make continuous program improvements and drive decision-making
Ability to translate strategies and goals into the design and implementation of systems and processes
Displays strong analytical skills with the ability to understand, interpret and summarize complex processes, program and systems
Ability to effectively generate professional, clear, written and verbal presentations appropriate for intended audience
Proven customer service skills with ability to work within all levels of the organization and maneuver across different organizational entities and political environments
Demonstrated ability for self-direction and initiation required
Proficient in MS Office applications especially with Word, Excel and Power point
