At Salesforce, our world-class Product Marketers drive revenue in partnership with sales as we create and tell inspirational stories with cutting edge demonstrations to people around the world. The Platform Chief of Staff / Operations partners with the SVP of Platform Marketing on all key aspects of running the team.

This role is key aligning and driving the Platform business forward, reporting on how marketing efforts are working, and aligning with the initiatives of the broader marketing org. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, someone who can identify and prioritize new initiatives, help move out roadblocks that are impacting the team, and be comfortable diving into business details to drive initiatives forward.

Here's some of what you'll be responsible for

  • Strategically drive the Platform Marketing business

  • Partner with SVP of Platform Marketing to strategically invest in programs and people across the product portfolio

  • Assist with operations and employee resource planning across a 80+ person business. Help anticipate resource challenges and suggest solutions to ensure the business runs smoothly.

  • Drive fiscal yearly and quarterly planning. Manage the team budget and ensure compliance.

  • Strategically identify critical business issues, and lead cross-functional teams to resolve them

  • Attend functional team meetings across the organization for alignment

  • Report and analyze the results of the business

  • Create presentations on the state of the business and reporting of metrics for executive reviews

  • Standardize performance reporting of campaigns, content, plays/programs, and key assets

  • Host monthly reviews of key business initiatives across the business including website, campaign performance, key asset performance, creative performance, and sale splays/programs

  • Develop content for and drive the cadence of reviews needed to run the Platform business

  • Weekly Leadership Team meetings

  • Weekly and Quarterly business communications

  • Quarterly V2MOM and business reviews

  • Head Platform Marketing initiatives

  • Promotion Process: Drive clarity and insight into promotion process for org, including quarterly information sessions and inclusion in All Hands meetings

  • Platform Feedback Programs: Drive cadence of team feedback and 360 Feedback Programs

  • Culture Committee: Work with representatives from across the team on team VTO & fun activities, learning, growth opportunities, and opportunities to build community and camaraderie

  • Employee Onboarding: Organize and share resources to help new employees understand company best practices and culture.

  • Lead Platform Go-to-Market Vertical for sales engagement

  • For a designated operating unit, own market enablement strategy, content, and execution to ensure sellers have the most relevant and impactful resources

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in marketing, product management, or operations at a high tech company, or similar. MBA is a plus, but not required.

  • Strong understanding of the cloud enterprise application space such as CRM software, ERP, Application Development, or low code software and a strong interest in future technologies/capabilities in that space.

  • Dynamic, confident personality with the ability to strategically craft and drive project execution with limited guidance amidst multiple shifting priorities and goals.

  • Hands-on ability to create succinct executive presentations.

  • Creative thinker that can generate innovative marketing ideas, work collaboratively, and lead a cross-functional team of stakeholders to drive execution.

  • Strong communication, presentation, writing, and analytical skills

  • Knowledge of Salesforce reporting and processes is a plus, but not required
