We are currently seeking a Shipping Clerk to join our growing team in the Dallas, Texas manufacturing facility.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Receive materials, verify items against the record of shipment and inspect the condition.
Understand and issue Non-Conformance Reports to Purchasing and Quality Manager
Load and unload trucks using forklift (including gather, verify, and pack items for shipment according to established procedures)
Organize, stamp, band, stage material for shipping
Build crates for packing
Maintain the parts and packing area in an clean and organized fashion
Respond to internal and external requests for information regarding receiving/shipping data issues
Completes special projects and other duties as assigned
Competitive Candidates must:
Possess High School Diploma or equivalent
Be familiar with shipping documents, both international and domestic
Possess basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook and data entry)
Possess experience with forklifts and overhead cranes
Possess basic math skills and be able to read a tape measure to 1/16” accuracy
Maintain a high sense of urgency to meet and exceed all production goals
Be physically capable of standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching and twisting throughout shift
Be capable of repetitively lifting up to 50 pounds
Be able to work overtime on an as-needed basis, which could include weekends and holidays
Be able to problem-solve: listen to, interpret, diagnose and rectify problems
Have ability to communicate information across different individuals, departments, and external parties
