The Cybersecurity Communications Representative role provides communications consultation and support for enterprise cybersecurity initiatives . This role is a senior communications rep position. The assignment represents a shift from learning and assisting to fully contributing in assignments that are broader, more complex and challenging in nature.

The incumbent has an understanding of customer needs and develops and implements communication strategies in direct response to those needs. He/she is knowledgeable about company processes, systems and methodologies, and must have knowledge of the organization being served.

The incumbent provides communications and organization change management consulting to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and the Cybersecurity organization, as well as the GIS vice president, in the development and production of communication deliverables at the enterprise level. Audiences include the Executive Office, the board of directors, dealer principals, key customers and the broader workforce.

Decisions made by this position are diverse with higher risk issues. Challenges include exceeding expectations in delivering results, considering alternative courses of actions and making timely decisions. The incumbent provides mentoring and direction to less experienced communications representatives.

The position generally manages several non-repeating projects, both internally and externally, through completion. Internal communication outlets utilized could include newsletters, web sites, videos/streaming media, employee meetings, educational materials, presentations, correspondence, special events, cascades, etc.

Typical internal customers include various contacts throughout the IT organization and the enterprise. The position manages the completion of its own work assignments and may delegate work to others. Work generally follows established procedures and patterns with review in progress and at completion. Impacts key quality goals including Customer Satisfaction, Continuous Improvement, Timeliness, Accuracy, Efficiency, Cost Savings, Process Quality, etc.

Basic Requirements:

  • 4-year college degree or university degree in communications or related field is required.

  • Five to seven years of job-related experience is required, preferably with business unit and corporate communications experience.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, strong writing skills and experience, and excellent interpersonal skills are required to develop a cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside of the department.

Top Candidate Will Also Have:

  • Strong strategy development, writing and storytelling experience.

  • The ability to make a complex subject matter understandable for a variety of audiences.

  • Experience working with global and diverse employee populations.

  • Broad experience with knowledge of change management process.

This position can be on-site in Dallas, Texas; Nashville, Tennessee; or East Peoria, Illinois.
