Cook Children''s Medical Center Development Grant Writer in Fort Worth, Texas
The Development Grant Writer conducts research to identify prospective granting organizations, individuals and foundations. The writer will coordinate the development, writing and submission of grant proposals and carefully track all grants submissions and manage all deadlines. The writer should demonstrate the ability to remain highly organized, paying close attention to multiple deadlines. The Development Grant Writer should possess strong positive interpersonal skills and will work alongside team members to obtain necessary information and construct written submissions for grant opportunities.
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Minimum 4 years of related experience and a proven track record in grant writing for a non-profit.
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint and Excel), and database management skills are required.
Raiser’s Edge software knowledge is preferred.
Must be highly organized with the ability to manage a workflow for a team, use independent judgment and produce quality work within tight time constraints.
Must be able to work collaboratively with team, yet able to perform daily work with a high degree of autonomy.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft a proposal using data to tell a compelling story.
Proven ability to proof and edit other’s writings, and the ability to provide constructive feedback is required.
Must have the comprehensive knowledge of how to conduct research, and the ability to distinguish and identify funding opportunities for capital, programmatic funding and special projects.
