CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Information Technology group. We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst to join our growing team. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, be detail oriented, able to work in a team environment and independently, and have the ability to solve complex problems.


  • Act as a primary IT Business Analyst for the Agronomy Crop Protection division at one of the largest cooperatives in the world.

  • Formulate and defines systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with a good understanding of business systems, industry requirements, and available IT solutions.

  • Support, tests and enhance moderately complex information systems and develops adequate error management functionality within assigned applications.

  • Take ownership of support activities for assigned applications.

  • Analyze business and user needs, document requirements/user stories, and manage and/or develops enhancements.

  • Provides test plans, test cases, perform functional testing and assure proper user acceptance testing of completed projects.

  • Provide new user training on supported applications as requested.

  • Quantify business benefits to be delivered by the project or enhancement.

  • Tracking of problems, request & suggestions for assigned applications.

  • Guide business customers through business case development for new applications/functionality, including cost/benefit analysis and risk/impact analysis.

  • Provide Security role creation and modification as defined and requested by the Finance Controller.

  • Assists Security Account Management Team with access provisioning activities.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)

  • 2+ years of business systems analysis experience to include:

  • Business process definition, requirements definition, and development and support of integrated business applications

  • An understanding of ERP systems and ERP system concepts

  • Experience deploying, supporting, and maintaining ERP software

Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Technology Management, or in a related field

  • Experience deploying, supporting and maintaining Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O) and/or Microsoft Dynamics AX

  • Experience working with Agricultural business (Crop Protection)

  • Business Intelligence experience

  • Experience with Microsoft development platforms

  • Experience working with reporting tool Jet Data Manager

Physical Requirements

  • The willingness and ability to provide on-call duties as needed
