The Opportunity

Delaware North Gaming is searching for Slot Machine Attendants Dual Rate to join our team at Jake's 58 Casino Hotel in Islandia, New York. Our Slot Machine Attendants work on the gaming floor, contributing to a successful gaming operation by providing maintenance of floor equipment and assisting gaming guests as needed.

Responsibilities

• Act as Operations Supervisor as needed.

• Monitors functioning of slot machines, including changing and fixing ticket paper in the slot machines as needed.

• Patrols assigned areas to ensure that players are following rules and machines are functioning correctly.

• Processes jackpot payouts in accordance with Delaware North and state gaming procedures.

• Redeems ticket in/ticket out machine tickets.

• Assists guests by answering question about games, resolving issues and complaints timely and professionally, making change, etc.

• Stocks holding area with voucher paper.

• Performs minor repairs or makes adjustments to slot machines, resolving problems such as bill/voucher jams, machine tilts, etc. and contacts technician or Supervisor for assistance as needed.

• Records the specifics of malfunctioning machines and documents malfunctions needing repair.

• Follows all departmental and state policies and procedures.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a state gaming license.

• Excellent guest service skills.

• Ability to perform basic math calculations and accurately handle large sums of money.

• Basic slot machine knowledge preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing and walking for entire length of shift.

• Manual dexterity sufficient for handling machine functioning and repairs

• Ability to push and pull chairs in and out that are in front of machines

• Ability to lift 30 pounds.

• Indoor casino/gaming environment – noise level may be moderate to high during busy times.

• Smoky Environment.
