This makes us a strong innovation partner for clients in the aerospace, industrial, medical and dental sectors. _JOB DESCRIPTION:_ The 3D Systems site in Littleton, Colorado is expanding rapidly and needs an experienced additive manufacturing technician as part of the Application Innovation Group. This role will be within the Application Innovation Group (AIG) under the direction of the Application Development Engineering Manager. The mission of the team is to accelerate the development of advanced applications and innovative additive manufacturing solutions, for 3DS, for their clients and the society as a whole. The additive manufacturing technician is responsible for file prep, quoting, and related documentation for the direct metal printing (DMP) process to help facilitate the development of customer applications spanning medical, aerospace, dental, and industrial industries. This position is responsible for supporting the Application Development Engineering team to streamline the development workflow and reduce lead time while still meeting customer driven requirements. In this job, you will not only cooperate with your manufacturing, quality and application engineering colleagues world-wide but you can also rely on the knowledge and experience of colleagues from other 3D Systems divisions. Performance Objectives: The following performance objectives will determine job success for this position: * Collaboration with project teams, including both internal and external stakeholders, as a contributing member by providing quality and process engineering support in the development of new products and processes using 3D Systems’ products. * Supporting development of new technologies to enhance the capabilities of 3D Systems’ * Assist application development engineer in file preparation for production (file modification, lattice and support generation, creating build files) * Evaluate customer requests and generate quotes for prototype and production part volumes * Assist the application development project team with tool and fixture design to improve manufacturing processes * Create instructions and documentation regarding CAD/CAM activities during the development process in line with the QMS requirements. * Test capabilities of new AM software and evaluate functionalities to improve file preparation workflows * Participating in the compilation and review of technical documentation for both domestic and international regulatory submissions * Assisting project teams on compliance with design control requirements per FDA QSR, European MDD, FAA, ISO 13485/9001, AS 9100, and other applicable ISO/EN standards /This document represents the major duties, responsibilities, and authorities of this job, and is not intended to be a complete list of all tasks and functions. It should be understood, therefore, that incumbents may be asked to perform job-related duties beyond those explicitly described./ QUALIFICATIONS * High school diploma or equivalent. * Experience with additive manufacturing and additive manufacturing software. Preference given to experience in regulated, cGMP environments such as medical device, pharmaceutical or food manufacture. * Experience with CAD software (Magics, 3DXpert, SolidWorks, Catia, Creo) * Ability to read and understand engineering specifications and manufacturing methods across a number of products and materials. * Ability to generate best practice documentation and work instructions. * A strong commitment to providing excellent customer service. * Professional demeanor with excellent communication skills. * Excellent computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel Title: AIG Technician Location: CO-Littleton Requisition ID: 210000JS
