The Sr. Analyst - Data supports the EDI Data File mapping processes and development tasks to support our production work queues. The role will also serve as a liaison between our internal service teams, our clients, and IT department. The Sr Analyst will ensure client EDI data mapping requirements are correctly documented and implemented to support applying their electronic member enrollment file updates into the claims processing system. Additionally, this role will support the technology transformation project to migrate the EDI Data mapping software onto a new Data mapping platform.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for upholding data integrity standards through the mapping process, as identified by department operational standards and company administration standards.
Responsible for capturing data mapping requirements to develop maps or communicate to the IT Analyst
Manage prioritization and execution of client data mapping process; communicating standard processes or working through advanced scenarios
Creation and modification of Data maps to meet processing expectations for client data and develop client specific logic
Document requirements for maps, communicating and following up with IT Analyst
Responsible for utilizing current and building new queries and reports to support the needs of the business using SAP Business Objects, Sql Developer and Microsoft Access
Leverage knowledge of systems tools (MS Access query/reporting, Sql and Facets) to enhance accuracy and enable accurate monitoring of EDI process
Responsible for performing test data file loads to verify accuracy of client data layout/content and client specific maps
Leverage systems tools to accurately process client data and validate load results in accordance with department standards for reporting
Maintain client load setup within the different EyeMed systems to support loading EDI eligibility data files
Communicate with internal support teams regarding data layout or data integrity issues with client EDI enrollment files
Identify and recommend systems/process modifications necessary to effectively and efficiently support the membership load function
Establish strong rapport with membership employees and cross functional partners, sharing system and process knowledge
Creation and execution of UAT test cases, presenting results and recommendations for action steps to management
Bachelor’s degree in Business and/or Information Systems or equivalent work experience
3+ years Information Systems related experience
1+ years’ experience programming with Access, Visual Basic, SQL
Experience with performing mapping development using EDI mapping software
Experience with documenting requirements, executing system testing, and resolving defects
Strong customer service focus, proven ability to communicate technical information to management and technical & business partners during client conversations
Strong working knowledge of Visual Basic, SQL, Microsoft tools as well as SAP Business Objects or other reporting software.
Prior experience working with Data Integrator or Informatica mapping software
Prior experience in the Health Care industry
Prior experience analyzing and troubleshoot issues with electronic data, queries and reports
