TITLE: Adjunct Instructor - Patient Care Technician
This position is
responsible for delivering quality instruction in an equitable environment, including
both lecture and skills lab instruction. Instruction will be held from 5:00 PM
to 9:00 PM Monday through Thursday in the Health and Humanities (H-Building) at
the White Bridge Road campus..
FUNCTIONS/TYPICAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide didactic and skills lab instruction
in the following areas which include but are not limited to: scope of practice,
patient communication, environment of care, skills related to activities of
daily living, patient safety, patient mobility, and use of appropriate PPE. The instructor will be responsible for
preparing course materials; teaching the assigned content both in lecture and
lab, evaluating student learning outcomes and maintaining class records.
Minimum of an
Associate's Degree (A.A.S.) in a clinically relevant healthcare-related field
from an accredited post-secondary institution.
Minimum of one (1)
year full-time work experience in a clinically relevant healthcare-related
Teaching responsibilities are typically
performed in a classroom/lab environment with the employee intermittently
sitting, standing, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling for three – four
continuous hours at a time. The employee
may lift/carry objects that weigh 10lbs. or less.

RATE OF PAY:$50/hour
