The Manager of Assortment Execution partners with Central Merchandising and Group Store Planning teams to adapt strategy and deliver product plans to maximize sales and profit. They optimize inventory investment to achieve service level goals, drives execution of merchandising strategies that maximize sales, margin, inventory turnover and customer satisfaction.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate across all levels of the organization and across all functions including Operations, RxO, Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Retail Planning, Training, Marketing and Communications to communicate and execute a comprehensive product and inventory strategy that aligns future financial and product opportunities.
Support vision to Implement global strategies at local level with excellence
With effectiveness and speed, serve as the subject matter expert providing insights and analysis with local business stakeholders and global partners.
Ability to support local market and brand initiatives through preparation and presentations with a strong level of analysis and insights to local and global partners
Coordinate and respond to Store Ad hoc requests and inquiries
Create and Maintain local Product KPI reporting with qualitative insights
Build cross functional relationships with corporate and field partners to proactively evolve best practices to deliver continued retail excellence
Support the “last mile” product planning with Distribution, After Sales Center, and Location planning
Manage and execute the reverse logistics (Recall / RTV) process and timeline in collaboration with the Global Retail team and Store Operations team to support open to buy strategies
Collaborate with Store Operations and Distribution Center to manage assortment execution for store remodels, openings, and closings
Align with Store Operations team on Physical Inventory strategies to drive inventory accuracy
Develop and maintain supply chain execution process documentation driving continuous process improvement
Receive store inventory concerns from field leaders - review and share with global planning team
Point of contact for local store replenishment shipping issues – coordinate with relevant team/partner a solution to rectify
Support all local ad-hoc brand project local initiative
Collaborate with corporate team to project implementation
5+ years’ work experience in retail planning, buying or merchandising
Self-starter who is willing to “roll up the sleeves” to advance project work
Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously to meet stringent deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Able to work in ambiguity using sound judgment and critical thinking/strategic skills to provide innovative solutions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to influence
Travel required visiting existing stores, new store openings, and cross-functioning offices
Proficient/Advanced computer skills – Excel and PowerPoint/Presentation Skills
Excel in a highly matrixed organization
