The primary purpose of this role is to cross-functionally lead achievement of sales, margin, and profit goals for the Samsung Certified Re-Newed (CRN) category across multiple sales channels. The selected candidate will work directly with internal sales channel leaders to provide oversight and guidance to achieve all applicable targets and KPIs. This role is based out of the Plano, TX office and will report directly to the Head of the CRN/Trade-in Product Management category.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Manage: Lead Internal Sales organization for the CRN category by driving: top line growth, promotional and marketing plans, internal / external / HQ partnerships, supply chain and distribution, and long term growth strategy.

  • Lead and, as necessary, persuade cross-functional and direct report teams in executing strategy and tactical plan.

  • Oversee multiple Sales Funnels to ensure proper channel level execution

  • Monitor and analyze channel sales performance, explain performance variations and effectively adjust any necessary action plans required to achieve results.

  • Manage communications, sales promotion development, and training as required to stimulate and facilitate the sale of Samsung CRN products.

  • Build: Develop comprehensive business strategy for channels based upon analyses of their strategy, capabilities, financial analysis, customer insights, portfolio, promotions, marketing, and customer demand.

  • Establish high-level as well as tactical relationships with channel sales teams, marketing and product teams

  • Establish annual sales targets and respective channel go to market strategies to ensure quarterly revenue targets are exceeded and foundation is being laid for long term growth

  • Foster strong relationships with key channel executives in order to successfully position the Samsung CRN portfolio and align near-term CRN sales strategy

  • Optimize: Design channel specific supporting tactical plan, collaborating across multiple teams internally and externally, maximizing team resources and capabilities.

  • Drive the business forward and deliver sell-thru and other specified results tied to Samsung CRN products and solutions.

  • Prepare and present reports and management analysis to establish business plans. Report on the performance of the assigned business division against plan.

  • Align with internal stakeholders to ensure Supply and Production demands meet sales forecast

  • Analyze business trends to work internally to develop Yearly, Quarterly, and Monthly Sales Forecasts

  • Innovate: think outside-the-box, leverage data, and build insights to create business cases to build scalable products and promotions to drive the growth of your business; develop functional capabilities to test, learn, and iterate to accelerate category growth.

  • Develop data-driven perspectives on the end-to-end operations of the business. Identify areas of opportunity and work cross-functionally to drive operational efficiencies.

  • Interface effectively at all levels of the Samsung CRN organization to obtain support for strategy and tactical plan, including negotiating and executing necessary arrangements, managing internal company processes, and adhering to company guidelines and policies.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, technical or business discipline preferred, MBA degree a plus; 12+ years of relevant work experience

  • 8-10 years of enterprise technology sales or business development experience, knowledge of mobile handset market, OEMs and carriers preferred

  • 3-5 years’ experience selling mobile solutions at or with a US carrier preferred

  • Proven overachiever, track record of quarterly / annual sales success

  • Self-starter and very capable on both business and technical fronts.

  • Previous experience and success in selling technical solutions.

  • Ability to lead and motivate a team of 2-3 direct reports

  • Ability to facilitate cross-functional teams and navigate matrixed organizations.

  • Strong analytical, data-driven problem solving and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and deadlines. In addition, must be able to manage multiple projects and often competing priorities.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Necessary Skills & Attributes:

  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all assigned levels within and outside the company.

  • Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects.

  • Review detailed product development, marketing documents and media materials as needed.

  • Demonstrated competency in both oral and written communication modes for both internal and external personnel at various levels.

  • Work independently and in a team environment in order to achieve customer business objectives, personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames and specifications.

  • The ability to develop tasks and work assignments, based on sometime vaguely defined objectives.

Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions:

  • The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:

  • Work is generally performed in an office environment.

  • Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal 50% of work time, including prolonged periods of time.

  • The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time under 25 pounds.

  • Performs work under time schedules and stresses which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive job stress, fatigue, unpaid over-time, intellectual challenge, constant technical data feedback, language barriers, and business management stress.

  • Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids representative and commonly associated with PCs, printers, and office work areas.

  • Frequently works additional hours beyond normal schedule.

  • Under very little direct supervision with a high level of responsibility to apply general policies and guidelines where decisions are seldom monitored and consequences of decisions adversely affect operating results and management decisions.
