We are looking for a paralegal to join our growing global competition law practice and help provide excellent legal services on a wide variety of antitrust and competition-related matters. Specifically, the paralegal will provide paralegal support to our in-house antitrust team who support the Salesforce business globally. The position will report directly to the Vice President and Associate General Counsel for Competition/Antitrust and the Senior Corporate Counsel, Antitrust, and will work closely with team members throughout the legal and corporate affairs department, including lawyers and paralegals. The paralegal will also work directly with internal clients, including the Corporate Development team and various other business units.

The successful candidate will be detail-oriented and eager to learn and grow, and will be able to prioritize, juggle competing priorities, and be extremely responsive in a fast-paced environment, all while maintaining excellent relationships with internal clients. A go-getter with a keen sense of judgment, strong organizational skills, an eagerness to take on new challenges, and a sense of humor would excel in this role. Experience as a paralegal or law clerk is required.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of global regulatory filings, including collection and assembly of information from internal stakeholders, drafting and review of narrative responses, and overall project management

  • Improve and maintain our internal filing system for antitrust filings, correspondence, internal work product, etc.

  • Partner with M&A Legal team to provide support on antitrust components of strategic transactions from pre-signing through deal execution and integration

  • Regularly monitor and summarize key antitrust developments around the world

  • Support antitrust training and compliance efforts across the business

  • Work with various stakeholders, outside counsel, and cross-functional teams to ensure execution and drive issue resolution in a timely manner

  • Coordinate meetings and follow-up actions

  • Assist with administrative matters, including working with legal operations team to monitor and manage outside counsel relationships and budget

  • Generally, respond to the unexpected in a fast-moving Fortune 500 technology company!

Requirements:

Excellent organizational and project management skills

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and be extremely responsive and flexible in a fast-paced environment

Team player who wants to learn, takes initiative, and is willing to wear whatever hat is required

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills; absolute commitment to collegiality and professionalism

  • Ability to work well with virtual, global, and cross-functional teams across cultures and time zones

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • Ability to use, or quickly learn, Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Calendar, and Meet), Quip, Slack, Microsoft365

  • At least two years’ paralegal or legal clerk experience; prior experience with antitrust investigations and/or litigation preferred
