Aerotek Hvac Service Technician in Tonawanda, New York

Description:

-High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent.

-2-5+ year commercial HVAC experience.

-Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

-EPA certification

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Commercial Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of HVAC systems utilizing their knowledge of refrigeration theory, electrical schematics, pneumatics and electronic control systems, pipe fitting, welding/brazing and mechanical layouts. They utilize tablets for all of their work orders and have a proprietary system called Coins. Service techs work on everything form wind air conditioning units all the way up to chillers, boilers and roof top units.

One of the questions on the test is which terminals do what on a thermostat (IE: R- Power, W- Heat, G- Fan, Y- Cool) Every tech should know this.

-Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

-Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.

-Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice.

-Physically agile, dexterous, and able to work in confined spaces.

-Majority of work is planned maintenance on roof top units
