Job D u tie s :
This role is critical to the scaling of the Job Site Solutions business. This role will be asked to scope projects, process improvement efforts, and system enhancements based on business problems and the desire for increased efficiency. These projects will average savings per project of $200,000 and this role should concurrently lead 2-4 projects of this magnitude. The majority of these projects will be of significant complexity and will often involve efforts across many functional areas within a Business Unit and potentially across multiple Business Units. This role will directly interact with Cat Digital, Asset Health Data, the business resource teams, aftermarket teams within Caterpillar, as well as customers and dealers.
This role will lead projects where the subject focus and solution are complex in nature, availability, and attainability. Lead improvement projects within the value center and effectively coordinate these projects with the Project Sponsor and other improvement project teams. Project leadership includes identifying opportunities, defining and financially justifying projects, launching project teams, using good project management to manage team activities, leading teams to execute projects using LEAN and other methodology, tracking project status and results, removing and elevating project barriers, and developing team members. It is also critical to identify integration issues with other projects/processes and coordinate the improvements with the appropriate project/process owners to accomplish the project goals.
Measure results. Manage the development and maintenance of methods and systems for measuring the degree to which the project goals, objectives and metrics are being met. Provide Project Sponsor with the results and take corrective project action as required to improve on results below target.
Integrate improvement projects. Ensure projects are integrated with other business activities, improvement projects, and business strategy.
Communicate. Ensure multi-channel communication throughout the organization. This includes keeping the Project Sponsor informed of program status and ensuring coordination of activities with other projects. Also, this includes capturing project case histories that can be re-used for other projects.
Provide quantitative data indicating the scope of the operation including current year and forecast sales, net income, total assets controlled, number of personnel, operating budget, and any other quantitative factors which describe the scope of the operation.
Must be a results oriented change agent who is an effective business systems thinker. Must be able to manage risk and ambiguity on a project.
As Job Site Solutions is a customer facing solutions provider, this candidate should have experience in either customer or dealer account management, digital systems, data analysis, or LEAN tools.
• 4 year degree preferably in Engineering with 5+ years of work related experience OR 9+ years of work related experience
• 2+ years of project management experience

• Prior supervisory experience
• Knowledge of other functions that provide inputs regularly, i.e., Customer Solutions, Dealer and Distribution systems, digital systems and data visualization, fleet management, aftermarket
• Ability to effectively collaborate with people across many different backgrounds and cultures, internally and externally, with the appropriate influence and ability to resolve differences.
• Strong organizational, planning and communication skills.
• 6 Sigma or PMP or other formal project management accreditation
